My interests can be broken down into two main parts: technology and finance. I have long been interested in tech and, in particular, computer science. One area that I pay close attention to is machine learning (ML). For me, ML is an exciting interdisciplinary study that utilizes both my computer science and applied math skills. As an intern at AI-focused telehealth startup BeCare Link, I'll have the opportunity to use ML to analyze data trends for patients with multiple sclerosis. Some ML techniques that I have been learning in preparation for this role include principal component analysis and the Naïve Bayes Classifier Algorithm. My interest in finance largely stems from my love of entrepreneurship and investing. Over the past two years, I have been reading investment articles and books such as A Random Walk Down Wall Street, and I actively manage a small portfolio as a hobby. Recently, I have been especially concerned with the ESG aspects of companies, for which I often use MSCI as an index. To further understand business fundamentals as well as the process of investing in one, I am interning at MetaProp NYC, a real estate technology venture capital firm. My roles include deal sourcing, financial diligence, and investor/LP database design. My hobbies include tennis, spikeball, piano, reading, and trying out new foods.
